About the Show
Taking Flight is an educational podcast series discussing various environmental topics through the eyes of birds. Certain episodes might focus on individual bird species, bird psychology, the effect of climate change on birds, interesting bird trivia, and how humans can help in bird conservation. Guest speakers might also appear from time to time. The goal of this podcast series is to generate some awareness for bird species and promote their conservation, especially towards the next generation.
About the Author
Shourjya Majumder completed his B.S. in Conservation Biology at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, along with a minor in Environmental Writing and Rhetoric. He is passionate about all forms of wildlife, and is interested in spreading awareness toward future generations, so that they can appreciate all of the wonderful things Mother Nature has to offer. Some of his hobbies include going on nature walks, listening to music, and watching enticing nature and science fiction documentaries.
